Abstract
Anodic aluminum oxide templates with pore size 70 nm were fabricated using two step anodization processes. BiFeO3 and La doped BiFeO3 nano-particles were synthesized and decorated on anodic aluminum oxide templates to explore its various physical properties. Crystallographic studies reveals the formation of rhombohedral geometry with 166-R-3m space group. Pore size, morphology and elemental compositions of host and decorated templates were analyzed with field emission scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. Optical studies demonstrate enhanced absorption and significant decrease in band gap of host template with decoration of nanoparticles.
