Handling, Storage, and Precautions: bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-ene is an irritant and can be toxic if inhaled or ingested. It should be used only in a well-ventilated fume hood. Toxicity (oral) rat LD50: 11,300 mg/kg. Bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-ene is flammable and is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.
