Purification: dried over Na2SO4, then CaH2, and fractionally distilled under reduced pressure through a packed column.1. Handling, Storage, and Precautions: shelf stable. Irritant to eyes and skin and should be handled wearing gloves and eye protection. Toxicity (oral) rat LD50: 4000 mg kg−1. Generally stable but decomposes when heated strongly2 or with strong base.3
