Abstract

Aiming to enhance economic and social growth, innovation habitats are spaces that promote innovative actions, targeting the competitiveness of enterprises and institutions generating knowledge incorporated in today's society. Given the relevance of the theme for the present society which is based on knowledge, the objective of this article is to map the state of the art of innovation habitats on a conceptual study of innovation in a multidisciplinary and social sciences context. Therefore, a bibliometric analysis was carried out through a systematic search in the Scopus database. As a result, it was identified that the research emerges in the field of multidisciplinary areas intersecting discussions on biochemistry, molecular genetics, psychology, engineering, knowledge management. After reading the articles, it was noticed that there is a difference between innovation system and innovation habitats, being the first related to the laws, rules, registration, public policy, while the second is related to the physical construction, physical environment relevant to innovation.
