Abstract

Abstract For US industry to remain competitive, materials science and engineering fields must develop strategies for attracting, retaining, educating, and graduating a broader population of undergraduate and graduate students. This article proposes ways to build the STEM pipeline and establish a more resilient and diverse workforce to meet future demands.
