Abstract
<p><em>This study aims to understand the notion of bid'ah with technical implementation, especially how to send the deceased's prayer in Javanese Islamic culture called nyadran with various blessings (reward) and moral values. This type of research is library research. The source data is, various hadith of the Prophet Muhammad saw and various works of experts both clarify the moral values of Javanese Islamic culture and about nyadran with various blessings. The method of analysis is, content analysis with sociological approach whose model is sociological interpretation. The results of this study provide an understanding of the meaning, type and law of heresy especially commemorating death as a way of sending prayers called nyadran in Javanese Islamic culture. Through the understanding is expected to be used as a reference of the appropriate implementation of his time.</em></p>

Summary
Mencermati berbagai definisi dari para ulama di atas memberikan pemahaman bahwa, bid’ah adalah segala perbuatan atau amalan yang dilakukan tanpa ada contoh sebelumnya atau amalan yang tidak pernah dilakukan olehRasulullah saw. 69-70).Kemungkinan latar belakang terjadinya bid’ah yang pertama tersebut, seperti yang dilakukan oleh para sahabat, baik pada masa nabi Muhammad masih hidup maupun setelah beliau wafat. Karenanya, ‘Umar meminta kepada Ubay bin Ka’ab (salah seorang yang pandai dalam bidang al-Qur’an) untuk menjadi imam dan mulai saat itulah shalat malam Ramadlan kembali dilaksanakan dengan cara berjamaah dalam satu imam seperti pada masa Nabi saw. Sebelum membahas bagaimana obyektifikasi amalan bid’ah bid’ah yang pertama dalam budaya atau dunia kehidupan Jawa, terlebih dahulu akan diteliti hukum dan macam bid’ah menurut para ulama yang uraian bahasannya sebagai berikut
