Abstract

Being manageable tourism environment allows individuals to carry out their goals with a feeling of self-efficacy. This research aims to observe self-efficacy principle toward supporting heritage tourism in Medan City historic corridor. Mixed-method conducted focuses on four variables, i.e., comfort, safety, accessibility, and confidence. The results indicate that accessibility and confidence significantly contribute in self-efficacy that defines the identity of a place. Meanwhile, it constitutes a threat to self-efficacy when someone feels inconvenience and safe while performing a task in tourism environment.
