Abstract

A theoretical substantiation for the behavior of impurities in the volume of boiling medium in the equipment of nuclear and thermal power stations is presented. A hypothesis about sludge distribution is set forth, in which it is conjectured that coarsely dispersed sludge accumulates at the boundary of the turbulent core and viscous sublayer, and only a small part of it precipitates on the heat-transfer surface.
