Abstract
A method is developed for calculating Bechmann's Number for the harmonic overtones of antisymmetric thickness-shear vibrations of crystal plates. In most cases the solution can be expressed as a simple, explicit formula. Values of Bechmann's Number for the AT-cut-quartz plate for the first ten modes are calculated for the ranges of percentage plate-back encountered in applications.
