Abstract

A personal viewpoint is shared on how four midwives, from different parts of Wales, who individually during their careers had an interest in midwives’ wellbeing, came together virtually and were involved in a project that developed and eventually became Midwives in Mind. This was made possible by the team members being accepted and brought together during a joint initiative between the Royal College of Midwives and Welsh Government – the Wales Midwifery Leadership Development Group programme. Examples of what’s involved in being part of the programme are discussed, and how this led to the creation of an online virtual community on social media which promotes midwives’ wellbeing.
