Abstract

Following the success of last year's Royal College of Midwives (RCM) annual conference in Wales, midwifery in the principality has been the topic of much discussion and debate. The conference did much to dispel the ‘fluffy sheep’ myth and the ‘swollen head syndrome’ almost took over as we enjoyed the praise for the proactive culture of midwifery in Wales. We sang: ‘We’ll keep a welcome in the hillsides’ and we extend that welcome once again to the RCM UK Board for Wales annual conference which takes place in March ahead of the general RCM conference in Harrogate in May.
