Abstract

This paper based on Teaching Chinese as a foreign language, using the statistical functions and various retrieval methods provided by BCC corpus, explores specific methods to distinguish the characteristics of synonyms ‘一定’ and ‘肯定’ in word collocation and semantic rhyme,word frequency distribution, so as to help use synonyms appropriately and give better play to the function of Chinese communication. The Corpus linguistics mainly investigates the differences of word frequency distribution of synonyms in different registers. Count the significance of the co-occurrence of keywords and collocations, and distinguish synonyms. At the same time, we observe the collocation characteristics of synonyms in the search results, and reveal the discrimination characteristics of synonyms, such as class connection, word collocation and semantic rhyme. Thanks to the huge amount of anticipation provided by the corpus, the corpus can index the rich usage and context of synonym groups, so that researchers can compare the semantic and pragmatic differences between synonyms and describe synonyms objectively and comprehensively.
