Abstract
O presente artigo propõe-se pensar as interseções entre a memória e a identidade nas representações do «Massacre de Batepá» pelas poetas Alda Espírito Santo e Conceição Lima. A partir do conceito de fantasmagoria de Avery Gordon e da sociologia das ausências e das emergências de Boaventura de Sousa Santos, concluí que, por motivos geracionais, os fantasmas que habitam os seus textos são muito distintos, manifestando conceções diferentes daquela que será a identidade cultural santomense.
