Abstract

The 1950's and 1960's are characterized by revolutionary advances in a number of branches of science. Atomic physics, chemistry, "space sciences," cybernetics and electronics — these are the acknowledged leaders in the "competition of the sciences." Mentioned among the future "favorites" are biology, biochemistry, bionics and a number of other sciences, but the science of economics is rarely included in this list.
