Abstract
Micromagnetic simulations reveal formation of 360${}^{\ensuremath{\circ}}$ domain walls in disordered, thin permalloy films during the field-driven magnetic reversal process. With stronger disorder, the reversal process is increasingly governed by discontinuous jumps, resulting in Barkhausen noise without explicit domain wall movement.
