Abstract
The method of reggeizing the amplitude byFrautschi,Gell-Mann andZachabiasbn is applied to the K−+p→∑++π−. A slight modification is made in order to discuss the presently available data, where the square of the baryon mass cannot be neglected compared to the total energy squared. The data are rather poor to determine the theoretical parameters precisely but the general trend obtained by us is consistent with the assumption that the J= 1 K*-meson is the top trajectory with the strangeness 1 ofChew andFrautschi. A method of polology in the angular momentum space is discussed. Assuming the existence of K* with Z=3/2, we predict the nature of that resonance from the K−+p→∑±+π−+
