Abstract

The study aims to evaluate the election of the governor of Banten in 2017. Two candidates follow this governor's election, and both are Muslims. The study uses data from the BPS and KPU at the village level. The analysis method used in this analysis is logistic regression with the acquisition of voices into dependent variables, and the independent variable consists of social and economic groups. The findings of this study show that identity political behavior does not exist in the election of the governor in Banten. The result of this governor's election can be explained more by the behavior of the election based on the economy.
