Abstract

In designing management information systems (MIS), many organizations concentrate on computer-related issues. MIS research, on the other hand, has often focused on the characteristics of decision-makers and the organizations within which they work. In designing and Implementing MIS successfully for a bank, DAVID TARGETT found that these issues were less important than reducing data to manageable proportions and providing well-focused, digestible information.
