Abstract

Radio and TV programs, merchandising gimmicks, special out-of-the ordinary services, and old-fashioned door-todoor selling have combined to produce startling results. But the hoopla has obscured neither the sound banking practices nor the dynamic growth of the territory itself. In six years, from 1947 to 1953, both First National and Republic National have more than doubled total assets, and net profits have increased substantially.
