Abstract
We investigate ballistic thermal transport property in quantum wire modulated with trapeziform quantum structures at low temperatures. A comparative analysis for two different trapeziform quantum structure models is made. It is found that the transmission probability and thermal conductance sensitively depend on the figure of the quantum scattering structures. The thermal conductance K T is always bigger than the thermal conductance K O in the trapeziform quantum structures and the thermal-conductance ratio K T / K O is increased with the enlarging difference of the bottom side-length of the trapeziform quantum structures. A brief analysis of these results is given.
