Abstract
The LTC550 MicroIR developed by BAE Systems IR Imaging Systems (IRIS) area, is an environmentally qualified, infrared camera designed for day and night surveillance and general imaging applications. Based on IRIS’ 320 × 240 uncooled MicroIR technology, the LTC550 produces high_res imagery for enhanced situational awareness, independent of darkness and a wide range of obscurants without need of artificial illumination. A family of lenses, ranging from 18mm 100/300mm dual field of view, permits users to define the lens required to meet mission needs, and allow field replacement should requirements change. This capability, and the unit’s mounting bracket and full_function controller, results in a system designed for rapid, mission_specific deployment. This is a short news story only.
