Abstract
In order to reduce the prevalence of acquired pressure ulcers in a 238 bed nonprofit long term care facility, we developed ”Back to Basics”, a multifaceted intervention. The intervention had three components: a topical formulary for cleansing, moisturizing and barrier creams; intensive staff education; weekly advanced practice nurse led interdisciplinary team wound rounds.
