Abstract
The cover picture shows a domino ring opening and coupling reaction of aromatic tricyclic heterocycles with O2 at solvothermal condition, leading to 1,2‐diamidoalkenes derivatives. A series of techniques have been applied to track the reaction process in this gas‐liquid black‐box like system. A seven‐step domino sequence involving a peroxide intermediate has been proposed. This work may provide a unique strategy to develop and design domino reactions starting from heterocycles. More details are discussed in the article by Zeng et al. on page 2089—2094.image
