Abstract

In article number 20220070, Haotian Lin and co-authors describe the applications of retinal image-based artificial intelligence in kidney diseases, the current advancements and future perspectives. In this cover, the structures and disease of eye and kidney were extracted, digitized, and analyzed in relation to each other utilizing state-of-the-art technologies. Notably, artificial intelligencewas depicted as a pivotal cutting-edge technology that enabled the exploration of potential correlations between these disease states, with a view towards developing a diverse array of clinical applications via online platforms in the foreseeable future.
