Abstract
Recent BABAR results on b → sγ decays are reviewed. Both the branching fraction and the CP violating asymmetry in radiative penguin decays are sensitive to physics beyond the Standard Model. Furthermore, the measurement of the photon energy spectrum allows the determination of the Heavy Quark Effective Theory parameters related to the b‐quark mass and its motion inside the B meson. New results on the B → Xsγ branching fraction and CP violating asymmetry are presented, as well as the measurement of the photon energy spectrum. Also reported is the preliminary measurement of the time‐dependent CP asymmetry in the B0 → K*0γ (K*0 → KS0π0) decay.
