Abstract

In the article, the formation process of state policy in the field of library work in Azerbaijan during the period of independence is studied. The invaluable services of the great leader Heydar Aliyev in the formation and development of this policy are examined. The goal, tasks and priorities of the state policy implemented in 1993-2003 in the field of library work are studied. The achievements of the state policy, which are important in the development of this field, are analyzed in the context of culture. During the research period, the adopted normative legal acts related to library work are thoroughly investigated.
