Abstract

The article presents an attempt to identify the attitude of students to Olympic values and their social transformation in the sport of higher achievements. The analysis of a sociological survey conducted among full-time and part-time students of the Pedagogical Faculty and the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of the State Social and Humani- tarian University (SSU) is given. The authors come to the conclusion that modern socio-political and ethical atti- tudes leave an imprint on the attitude of the younger generation to the Olympic movement, which, in turn, is associ- ated with the need to change certain well-established stereotypes in the perception of Olympism and Olympic values.
