Abstract

Implementation of axiological approach to the development of university students’ intercultural competences can be successfully carried out if their valuable attitude to learning a foreign language is formed. The author suggests that teaching productivity may be realized by means of intercultural communication and providing the realities of the cultural, ethical and moral values of native speakers. The paper presents the technological and pedagogical bases, the main structural elements and stages of the process connected with the dialogic form of education and rational combination of classroom and extracurricular activities of students in teaching a foreign language. The purpose of the research was to study and diagnose university students’ intercultural competences, to ground theoretically and test experimentally pedagogical conditions of axiological approach to their development realization. 78 students of Kazan federal university were recruited for the test-experimental work. The complex of diagnostic methods to diagnose the level of students’ intercultural knowledge, communication setting and the capacity for empathy, the dynamics of personal growth, ranking place of tolerance in the hierarchy of life values were used in the research.On the basis of the obtained results there were worked out and realized pedagogical conditions of axiological approach to the students’ intercultural competences development realization.
