Abstract

A unified awareness-based cosegmentation model is presented. In contrast with existing cosegmentation methods, awareness information is introduced as a global constraint in a combinatorial auction-style energy model. The approach consists of an awareness-based segmentation model followed by a ‘structural forest’ optimisation framework and this approach aims to take full advantage of awareness prior in both the initial process and segmentation process. Experimental results show that it is comparable with the state-of-the-art methods. Furthermore, it opens interesting perspectives to fuse awareness and structural constraints in an unsupervised manner.
