The 69th Annual American Heart Association Scientific Sessions were held in New Orleans, La, November 10-13, 1996. A traditional highlight of the annual AHA Scientific Sessions is the recognition of excellence in clinical and basic cardiovascular research via the Scientific Councils' distinguished lectureships, awards, and Young Investigator competitions.
