Abstract
Abstract Award 1% bait formulation was applied to harvester ant mounds in an open pasture near Estancia, NM. Treatments were randomized and replicated 6 times. Ant mounds were checked for activity, selected and marked, and counts made of active ants on and in the clear area of each mound and the number of active mound openings prior to treatment on 12 Jun. Treatments were made by sprinkling a measured amount of bait around each mound opening.
