Abstract

The American Psychological Association Awards for Distinguished Scientific Contributions are presented to persons who, in the opinion of the Committee on Scientific Awards, have made distinguished theoretical or empirical contributions to basic research in psychology. Gordon D. Logan is a recipient of the 2017 award "for his contributions to the foundations of cognitive psychology as a field, the study of skill acquisition, automaticity, and cognitive control in particular," and insights into cognitive disturbances in clinical disorders.
