Abstract

This article discusses how publicly owned treatment works are required to comply with the emergency response program requirements of the US Environmental Protection Agency's accidental release prevention requirements, commonly known as the risk management plan (RMP). Those that did not submit the required documentation by the RMP deadline of June 21, 1999 will be receiving notification of noncompliance from USEPA.
