Abstract

The Dyadic Adjustment Scale answered by a non-probabilistic sample of Brazilian males and females involve d in different types of love relationships is assesse d. The 542 subjects were recruited in several sites in Porto Alegre RS Brazil and its metropolitan area. Current study examined t he scale structure by the Factor Analysis statistics technique. Results were compared to the original construction of the instru ment study and other subsequent confirmations. The comparison of average scores of different kinds of couples in current sam ple verified the discriminative power of the instrum ent and its reliability. Evidences support the instrument's Brazilian versio n in research and in Psychology clinics.
