Abstract
Automatic power control system (APC) is a set of real-time control system based on the upgrade of automatic generation control (AGC) system. The system regulates the generator and other active power adjustable equipment uniformly. Electrolytic aluminum (EA) load is a kind of adjustable equipment with great adjustable potential. This paper proposes a set of APC system architecture considering EA load, and describes the functions of each module, data interaction content and operation process of APC system. According to the power consumption characteristics of EA load, the equivalent model of EA load is built, the control constraints are refined, and the control strategy is proposed and applied to APC. Finally, APC system considering EA load is deployed on a provincial dispatching platform in Northwest China, and simulation is carried out based on Northwest power grid model. According to the simulation results, the influence on the control performance and reserve capacity is analyzed.
