Abstract

The automatic arug infusion system using self-tuning adaptive controller of blood pressure based on microcomputer is proposed to control the increase and decrease of the Mean Arterial Blood Pressure (MABP) in rabbits. The self-tuning minimum variance adaptive controller uses a second order autoregressive moving average (Am) model of the dynamic system response to a pharmacological agent. The parameters of model are estimated by using on line recursive least squares algorithms. The experimental results indicated that automatic drug infusion system using self-tuning adaptive controller of blood pressure is applicable to clinical situations.
