Abstract

Semantic Web services which combines Web services and semantic Web has been an important new architecture for WWW to facilitate business coordination in today's global, reconfigurable and dynamic supply chains. In this paper, we propose OWL-S as ontology for describing heterogeneous Web services in supply chains, illustrate the model of Web service registry and mapping between OWL-S and UDDI, and describe the basic features of semantic Web services API. Furthermore, we analyze the lifecycle of business coordination in supply chains, and present bidirectional chaining composition algorithm to address the implement of automatic business coordination.
