Abstract

For precision quantized Hall resistance measurements, quantum Hall effect samples have to be checked according to the guidelines of the Comite Consultatif d'Electricite. An automated measuring system used to perform these checks is described, which is able to examine and characterize various samples. Together with these measurements, a precision 10 k/spl Omega/ resistance standard is calibrated with an uncertainty of better than 5/spl middot/10/sup -8/ (1 /spl sigma/) using a long-scale digital multimeter. >
