Abstract

This manuscript showcases our experience and progress as we refined the technique and embraced technological advances, namely, robotic surgery. Robotic surgery was instrumental given the challenges faced when repairing rectourethral fistulae (RUF) laparoscopically. We also believe by reducing the learning curve, this surgery is more likely to be replicated and adopted by other surgeons/institutions.
