Abstract

Abstract Austral Wright Titanium Grade 7 (UNS R52400) is a corrosion resistant alpha titanium alloy with mechanical properties similar to those of the commercially pure grades. The presence of 0.12–0.25 % palladium in this alloy improves its corrosion resistance, particularly in mineral acids and strong brines. It is used in applications where the medium is mildly reducing or fluctuates between oxidizing and reducing. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Ti-86. Producer or source: Austral Wright Metals.
