Abstract

Kultepe tablets are the oldest written sources giving information about the ancient Anatolian history. A large group of business letters were found among these documents obtained in the personal archives of Assyrian and Anatolian merchants. Thanks to these, we learn important information about traders' commercial activities and family relationships. In our study, we will introduce two new letters from the archives of the Assyrian merchant Assur-emūqī, in which remarkable information about his family and commercial relations are recorded.
