Abstract

The use of discrete rib elements in an SAC augmented value of transfer of heat and correspondingly enhanced THP. The usage of SAC with discrete artificial rib element underside of absorber plate for heat transfer enhancement and fluidity features was done in the current article. The range of parameters p/e = 6.67, e/Dh = 0.027, α = 30°, 45°, 60°, 75°, Re of 3000-14000, W/H of 8 have been used during the experimental tests. The outcome of fixed and variable range of values on the Nusselt Number , Nu and pumping factor values f are correlated with the result of smooth absorber plate under identical criteria. The Nu and f improved by 2.68 and 1.84 times, respectively, compared to the smooth channel.
