Abstract
A review is given of papers on atomic spectroscopy appearing in the Russian journal Optics and Spectroscopy over the period 1959 to 1962, when an English translation was made available. Subjects considered include; isotope shift and hyperfine structure; oscillator strengths; rareearth ion spectra; excitation cross sections of spectral lines; spectral lines in plasmas; and quantum-mechanical calculations.
