Abstract
Abstract ASTRALLOY-V is a very deep hardening nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy steel that combines excellent hardness, toughness and wear resistance. It is hot formable without property loss and cold formable at high strength levels. The steel has good elevated-temperature properties. Applications which are based on wear resistance include dragline buckets, wear strips for continuous mining equipment, grizzly bars, drag chain and coal hopper docks. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, and joining.
