Abstract
Asterisk is a softswitch to operate a proxy, based session initiation protocol (SIP). Asterisk operating system which is the base of CentOS as server VoIP flexible enough to support the Asterisk package performance. The purpose of this research is to build Asterisk based server VoIP, to be developed in future studies as needed. This research was carried out on the installation that have been built before the Internet network. VoIP so here functioned as maximizing existing internet network is to suppress expenses communication needs. Services provided in this study in the form of voice and video call with a client to server services, call the client to client, video call conferencing, video conferencing.
