Abstract
Objective: The aim and objective of current study was to find association of hyperglycemia and uric acid in diabetic patient at district Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan Methods: This cross sectional descriptive was conducted in tertiary care hospitals of district Banu , Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pakistan, from July 2020 to August, 2021. Blood samples was collected form patients using gel tube, centrifuged and then serum separate was subjected to Micolab-300 for the estimation of uric acid and glucose level in subjects. Results: In this study, total 209 cases were analyzed, among them 114 were males and 95 were female. Frequencies of high Serum Uric Acid levels in diabetic patients were observed in adults’ group and significant association was observed between blood sugar levels and uric acid levels in these patients. Conclusion: From the current study it has been concluded that statistically significant association was found between hyperuricemia and hyperglycemia in diabetic patients and such association was most commonly observed in Adult patients s compared to other groups.
