Abstract
(Int J Gynecol Obstet. 2020;148:48–52) Anemia affects >40% of women in the world and can cause symptoms of fatigue, irritability, apathy, and depression. Because of these symptoms, anemia during pregnancy or the postpartum period has been identified as a possible physiological risk factor for postpartum depression (PPD). The aim of this study was to review the association between anemia and PPD in the second trimester, third trimester, and postpartum period.
