Abstract

The paper deals with comparative assessment of the biochemical composition of biomass of Ankistrodesmus braunii (Nageli) Lemmerm. and Scenedesmus rubescens P.J.L. Dang cultivated in closed photobioreactor. Complete edible biomass was obtained of both algal species with high content of protein, photosynthetic pigments, sulpholipid and acylcarnitines. In A. braunii biomass content of proteins was 8.0 times higher than in S. rubescens, content of essential amino acids 1.3 times, chlorophylls 2.9 times, carotenoids 2.0 times, sulfolipid 4.7 times, and acylcarnitines 2.0 times.
