Abstract
In his address, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev to the people of Kazakhstan “New opportunities for development in the conditions of the fourth industrial revolution”, noted that today the world is moving to the era of the Fourth industrial revolution, a stage of deep and dynamic changes in the technological, economic and social spheres. The article deals with the issues of water resources protection to strengthen the competitiveness of Kazakhstan in the conditions of the fourth industrial revolution and the transition to a “green economy”. The dynamics of pollution of the Taldykorgan region’s water basin is studied, and the ecological zoning of the territory is given.
