Abstract
AbstractFibres obtained from isotropic coal tar and petroleum pitches were oxidized and carbonized. On the basis of infrared spectroscopic and thermogravimetric investigations the changes in the molecular structure of the pitches were analyzed. Optimum conditions of the course of oxidation and carbonization have been proposed.
